Did you ever try to pat your head with one hand and rub your stomach with the other? These brain boosting activities help older people do something similar, starting with easier movements. This is thought to help improve cognitive function, co-ordination and the ability to carry out activities of daily living more independently. They are also great fun and some of them are pretty tricky!
The movements were developed by the British Gymnastics Society as part of their Love to Move Programme.
